ATTN: ~
PIERRE COMPUTER COMPANY is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer.
You’ll be working on https://code.storage, our custom git backend: designed for high availability, throughput and correctness. You’d own big pieces of how that platform grows and get a chance to work with some excellent infrastructure engineers who helped to scale companies like Twitter, Reddit, Figma, and Cloudflare.
We are working on super high performance technical problems at scale. Some examples of problems you’d be facing:
- Horizontally scaling a distributed git architecture to serve hundreds of millions of repositories.
- Forking git to enable higher throughput of writes.
- Building and owning a fully automated single tenant self-serve architecture.
You should be comfortable with Go and very proficient with reasoning about consensus, coordination, and failure.
You should be self-driven and be able to handle the design and operationalization of these systems with no hand holding.
You should be an expert in your field.
